CNC Mill Setup

This position will primarily setup CNC milling machines for prototype and production.

Your diverse experience will help you meet the challenge of machining simple and complex parts for a variety of industries. You must be willing to learn and document new processes, communicate instructions effectively, and provide feedback to interested parties. You must be able to read, interpret and understand customer requirements and quality assurance concepts.

You will play a crucial role fulfilling the company’s continual improvement and quality assurance goals. As such you must be able to detect and effectively communicate problems and issues in the production process, poor work, or equipment. You will need to draw upon your past experience to anticipate problems and address them before they impact production.

You must have a high school degree and 2-4 years experience setting up machines. You must be comfortable and proficient using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, surface plates and fixed gauges. Many parts are high tolerance so you will need to understand the processes necessary for critical tolerances.

CNC Operator

This position will primarily tend CNC milling and turning centers.

Primary responsibilities include

- tending cnc milling and turning centers. This includes loading and unloading fixtures and work holding devices
- cutting raw stock as necessary
- deburring and hand finishing parts as necessary
- performing in process quality checks to ensure customer requirements are satisfied
- performing routine machine maintenance as necessary|
- communicating issues with parts, equipment, and workmanship
- logging time against work orders and track quality issues
- working towards achieving personal and company goals

Overtime may be required as necessary
