Privacy Policy for ProShop Price History

This privacy policy describes how the ProShop Price History Chrome extension (the "Extension") handles information. This Extension is intended for internal use only by authorized personnel of East Branch Engineering.

1. Information Handling (No Data Collection)

Unlike many extensions, this tool is designed for local processing only.

  • No Personal Information: The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII), such as names, email addresses, or credentials.

  • No External Transmission: Data scraped from the ProShop ERP (such as part numbers, work order history, and quote prices) is processed entirely within your browser's local memory to generate charts and analysis. No data is sent to East Branch servers, Google Sheets, or any third-party databases.

  • Authentication: The Extension relies on your existing, active ProShop session. It does not see or store your login passwords or PINs.

2. How We Use Information

The Extension uses "Selected Website Data" (specifically from your ProShop ERP instance) for the sole purpose of:

  • Visual Analysis: Creating price-over-time charts and inflation-adjusted tables within the Side Panel UI.

  • On-Page Alerts: Injecting status icons (✓/⚠) onto Customer PO pages to help you identify price mismatches.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Session Storage: The Extension uses chrome.storage.session to manage the "Auto-Run" state. This data is temporary, stays on your local device, and is cleared automatically when the browser session ends.

  • Local Execution: All logic, including the charting library, is bundled locally. No remote code is executed.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

  • Internal Use Only: Because no data is collected or transmitted, there is no sharing of data with third parties.

  • No External Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or lease any information derived from your use of the Extension.

5. Your Rights

As this is an internal tool, any questions regarding its use or the data displayed from the ProShop ERP should be handled according to East Branch Engineering's internal IT policies.
